As expected, my weekend was fulled with so much to do that I had little time to get up this 6th and final installment of the Wekfest LA 2012 Coverage… I know many of you are jumping on here today expecting to see Eibach 2012 coverage but I have just barely begun to work on the photos from the event. Trust me, there was a lot to do over the weekend and when I got home late last night, I literally caught up on some emails and then crashed out in bed. I want to be able to provide you guys the best coverage possible and getting proper rest is essential to me doing just that. If you are here for Eibach 2012 stuff, please come back tomorrow or check out part 6 right now to hold you over until then. Both events were amazing experiences but very different in very many ways. I will discuss Eibach stuff tomorrow, for now, I present you with the conclusion of our coverage….
Gotta start off by thanking Adam, Ken, Junior, and the rest of the Wekfest staff for making the event such a great one. Everything went smoothly and the show was one of the best of the year so far. Definitely better than last year and I am excited to participate once again next year. Today’s coverage consists of the end of the day at Wekfest LA. Not as much car coverage as the previous two posts and much like Part 3 where I covered the “human aspect” of the show. A lot of people that come on here like to see the lifestyle behind the cars and the shows so I always make a concentrated effort to get everything that I see from my perspective. Below are links to Part 1-5. Please click the links and look at them if you haven’t already…

VIP Lexus LS460h from VIP Auto Salon… Word on the street is that this thing is going to be crushed soon, much like a lot of other Toyota/Lexus “dollar cars” that were given to companies to build… Since they have no VINs and aren’t allow to be on the street, they have no choice but to head to the crusher… Larger Version (1400×933)

Everyone relaxing in the late afternoon, waiting for the awards announcements to commence…
I told Anh that the lens on his Nikon D800 made him look like Dilbert in this photo…
Some Ruckus’ representing Standard Functions…
Original VIP style from Vegas to San Diego….
May was joking around with Fred from ATS, causing him to spit out his pastry from Portos everywhere…
Custom red Volk TE37 and Brembo monoblock brakes…
All the homies looked like they had a great time in Long Beach for Wekfest LA ’12…
The crowd waiting for the awards ceremony…
The ladies responsible for presenting the awards to the respective winners…
I wanted to make sure to get some shots of some of the winners so I grabbed a seat behind the ladies…
The show was running a little longer than anticipated so Junior had to hurry and announce the awards in the quickest way possible…
Since we were in a rush, Junior had to give specific instructions to the ladies and make sure that they posed in rotation for each winner that was announced…
The ATS x DPK guys hanging out by the fence right behind where we were seated…
A look over the fence…
There can only be one Der….
A couple of the guys laying out the list for special awards that were to be announced after the regular Wekfest awards were given out…
Things got pretty hectic at one point since the lady who was in charge of the venue was getting on the staff’s asses about shutting down the event…
I didn’t take a photo of every winner since it would take too long and Wekfest had its own photographer for that, but I did get some of the winners that I knew personally…
DPK Jared and Holly Lee posing for the Wekfest photographer after Jared picked up his award for 2nd Place in the S2000 class…
Jared and Holly cheesing it up for The Chronicles… Congrats to Jared on the award. He and Sheepey spent the days leading up to Wekfest putting his car back together and barely got it running and detailed in time for the show…I’m sure he was pumped to win an award since he hadn’t even been able to drive the car in the last couple of months…
Bay Mao won 1st Place in the S2000 class but I totally missed his S2K at the show and didn’t get a shot of it….. My bad sir but congrats on the win. He and his brother Michael Mao with the NSX has been killing it lately…
I really liked the expression that I captured of Elissa Alva’s as she waited for RC Chacon to pick which one of his two awards he won for the photo…haha…
RC couldn’t decide so he held up both awards… must be nice, haha…
ATS x DPK ended up taking home the 3rd place award for Best Car Crew at Wekfest LA… We couldn’t get everyone in the photo but here is a bulk of them posing with Chaba, Emmarose, and Holly Lee…
Big Mike announcing Wekfest’s first ever “Big Mike Award”…. Not sure what criteria was involved in his judging process but I am sure you can ask him the next time you see him at an event…
Chris too was probably wondering what the award meant but he was happy to accept it…
Emmarose and Chris Sakai posing with the Big Mike Award….
The Big Mike Award winner….
As we were cleaning up, I made sure to snap a photo of this Miata that was at the Super Street booth….
It was a wrap after that… We packed up our stuff and got on our way. Many of us went home first to drop off our cars and our stuff and then met up for a late dinner… Thanks for looking guys and the pleasure was all mine…
Eibach 2012 Part 1 coming tomorrow!….
