…And now, for the stunning conclusion of the Car Limbo tournament, much more exciting and competitive than the NCCA Basketball Tournament that hasn’t quite happened yet. I’m kidding. This is great stuff. I love Japan and all that comes with car culture from their perspective. Please enjoy more from the 2016 Wreckin’ Meet coverage that I, once again, completely forgot that I even had in my possession until just recently. Thank you to Shota Mori for his fantastic photos once again…

Let’s all play a game of ‘how many people can you stuff inside a Corolla with a completely retrofitted USDM Corolla body’…
The FC had no problem casually strolling through the Limbo contest…
Rear Mugen lip and wing on Teru’s Odyssey. Odd point that only Odyssey people would care about but he also has the USDM rear bumper scuff plate on…
Makoto Kikuchi and his turbocharged MPV doing a burnout after successfully advancing to the next round of the Limbo Contest. I’m making that up of course because I honestly don’t know if there is like a bracket for the contest where they have separate levels and rounds and shit. I don’t think they really take it that seriously with strippers being there and all…
Eventually I think it just became a giant burnout contest…
Ogihara’s EF and what turns out to be old school Centra wheels as a reader mentioned in the previous post…
Eventually they needed someone to hang out in the trunk to make it through…
Two girls decided to hop in the Eunos Roadster to risk getting their heads lopped off by the horizontal stripper pole…
Meanwhile this 2nd gen. Roadster cruised through just fine. I’m enjoy how everyone is just happy as fuck in this photo…
Ogihara’s EF at its limit just short of needing a chopped-top…
‘Slammed’ would be quite the understatement I imagine…
LHD EJ1 Civic coupe with shaved moldings, 949Racing wheels and a J’s Racing front lip…
90s Mercedes Benz W124 coupe bagged on AMG wheels…
This Audi S5 coupe looked fantastic on Rotiform wheels…
A trio of BMWs…
Kei Ootsuka’s LHD Mugen DA Integra on custom rebuilt Mugen CF48 wheels with aero disks…
Nice blue hue on this Ferio on aggressive Volk TE37Vs…
Honda Accord Tourer looking good on white Advan GT wheels…
While I was in Osaka earlier this year at a Civic Meet, I spotted this beautifully-done cream-white EF9 Civic on Barramundi Eleven wheels. I thought the car looked a bit familiar and as it turns out, I had seen it before in the photo above…
The rear end of Yuuki Takebayashi’s MK1 Golf rocking Florida plates…
Slammed E30 BMW coupe on Fifteen52 RML Snowflake wheels…
Clean Phoenix Yellow EK9 Civic Type R on white Volk TEs…
Subaru Legacy Wagon on OZ Racing wheels…
Chibi-chan’s K-powered Ferio on CCW Wheels…
Brand new Honda Vezel/HR-V on bronze TEs…
Bagged Volkswagen Golf R 5-door hatchback on Fifteen52 wheels…
I guess the Limbo Contest ended…
Beautiful E12 BMW 518i on BBS RS…
W124 Mercedes Benz Wagon on what looks to be iForce wheels…
This red Porsche 356 Speedster is just stunning…
These Japanese car enthusiasts know how to build Volkswagens right…
I really don’t know too much about all the different variation of Beetles over the decades but I believe this one might be a early 60s model…
Hammered Volkswagen Type 3…
Closing out Part 2 with one more shot of one of the many Beetles in attendance at the 2016 Wreckin’ Meet. Much more to come still so please come back for more! Thanks for looking!!…
Um, I’m no Beetle expert either, but if I had familiarity with the Japanese car scene…I’d venture guessing that it’s a 1954 model (based on the license plate).
The windshields got bigger in the sixties.
The black one is a 52 1/2 to early 55 based on the tail lights. The green one is a 54 and the white and rat rod are early 60’s as they have the larger windows and the front turn indicators were moved from inside the head lamp to the top of the fender. The squareback is a mid to late 60’s model based on the signals in the front.
I am older and worked at Johnny’s speed and chrome vw in the 80’s and grew up during the cal bug scene
Stripperrrrsssss! Yessss! I mean thank you for knowing the difference between plural and possessive. So so sick of seeing “TE37’s” instead of “TE37s”. Not stripper’s but stripperssss! LOLOL Thanks for all the great pics I don’t care if they’re old keep ’em coming!
It’s not a 356 Speedster. The Speedster is the convertible version with a tiny wind screen 😉
