Wekfest Florida 2018 Coverage… Part 2…

2019 is upon us folks! With just two days left before the new year, it feels like the right time to upload the rest of these photos from the final major car show of the calendar year. Wekfest Florida was a good time. Most of it was spent walking around Miami, I don’t think we ate anything but Cuban food, and the weather, though humid even into the evenings, was totally bearable. In terms of the show itself, things have been progressing. There were some solid builds this year, improving the quality overall of the cars at this particular stop, and we’ve been on such a good trajectory all year that the show itself just flowed very well from start to finish. It’s about 3:28 AM now and I spent most of the day catching up on merchandise orders, so I’ll keep it brief…

2018 has been a crazy, fucked-up, year. Man, I swear it felt like we lost so many great people this year. Just a few hours ago, I was perusing my Facebook feed and saw my buddy Thomas Pinai from Texas make a post that a fellow car enthusiast, Kelley Orange, had just passed away. I literally just saw this man a few months ago at the Wekfest Houston event. He was always so kind and such a pleasure to chat with. I remember him asking me how my friends and I were doing and now he’s just…gone. Fucking wild. For those who don’t remember, Kelley drove the silver Sorcery widebody NSX from Endless Projects Texas. Click Here if you want a refresher. We had a lot of mutual friends and they are all feeling the loss of a good dude right now, and I feel for them. I myself have lost some family members and some friends as well. Rest in Peace Kelley, you will be dearly missed…

I guess this is all just a constant reminder to just appreciate the time that we have on this Earth with our friends and loved ones. With the New Year coming up, I just want everyone to be safe and to have a good time. Celebrate responsibly and let’s bring in the new year on a bright note. 2018 has been educational but man, I am ready to get the fuck out of this one. Happy New Year folks!! Here’s to a much better 2019 filled with good health and prosperity…

  1. Happy New Year Joey! thank you for coming back to Florida and bringing the car community under one roof. The speech you gave before the show was really uplifting and very inspiring. Glad someone is using their platform to spread positivity and knowledge among the community. Until next!
