There was a good amount of Honda coverage in Part 1 of the 2018 Japanese Classic Car Show coverage, which is always weird to consider so many of those Hondas and Acuras classic cars now, but today, in Part 2, there are absolutely zero Hondas present. Not even in the background. It’s all Toyotas and Nissans/Datsuns today because, well, that’s how the show is organized. The one thing that really sets this event apart from more conventional car shows in this era is the make and model organization. It’s almost as if you they want to present you with this idea that you’re walking through a showcase of classics, which it obviously is, but as it would be presented in a museum. Just imagine a museum with a bunch of your Filipino uncles’ cars, lol. After making our way out of the Honda section, we found ourselves dying a slow death in the ultra hot sun while making the trek over to the Datsun/Nissan section, which is pretty much 40% of the event. The show was much bigger than it has been in year’s past as well because of the new venue so there was much to take in. The Queen Mary presented a much better back drop of course, but now that it is too expensive to use, as it is also undergoing renovations, we now found ourselves on the other side of the pond at Marina Green Park. I feel like I maybe should have mixed the photos up instead of displaying them in the chronological order in which they were shot, for variety’s sake, but I didn’t even think to do that the other day so everything just seems overly organized now. There are some pretty awesome builds in this section though, a bulk of them from the guys from Wild Cars car club, along with some regulars we’ve all come to appreciate from attending this event every year. Wedged in-between are some pretty oddball classics I’ve never encountered before. Enjoy!…
