Super Street x Rays Tribute Meet 2018 Coverage…

What happens when you take one of the automotive tuning community’s most esteemed wheel brands and combine it with the likes of Super Street magazine? Well, probably a whole lot of things like ads and shit but you also unexpectedly get a car meet that no one ever thought to do. Why? Because everybody loves Rays wheels, Volk Racing and all, and most meets already have tons of cars on these fantastic wheels. The great minds from both brands decided to host a special tribute gathering for the Japanese wheel company and eliminated everyone else who’s cars didn’t rock Rays-manufactured wheels. Normally I’d imagine you’d get some people who were incredibly butt-hurt because they couldn’t bring their non-Rays wheels wearing car builds out on a nice sunny afternoon, but Rays Engineering is so highly-respected that people would actually come out just to show support…

There are definitely times when you would go to a meet or show and say “everybody is on TEs here” but that would pretty much hold true on this particular day. People love their TEs, man, myself included so this car gathering was right up my alley. It’s like taking all the riff raff of Rotas and XXRs out of the equation and having a quality meet with nice cars sitting on some of the best wheels ever produced…

Put this on the list of “Most unexpected and probably also the most unnecessary car meet of the year that literally everyone would go to”. Why? Well, easy. Because Rays made the TE37. And the TE is one of the best wheels ever. CEs aren’t bad either, and ZE40s are also great. I can do with less hot pink Gram Lights 57whatever wheels but hey, some families have ugly ass cousins and you can’t really do anything about that. Don’t get me started on the TE37 Sonic either…

Here are the photos from the meet. Thanks to Mackin Industries and Super Street magazine for hosting. Steve Lim from Mackin, if you’re reading this, every time I see you, you tell me that I should stop by for lunch. One of these days I’m gonna randomly pop-up at the office and it’s gonna happen whether you actually want to have lunch with me or not, lol…

Okay, enjoy the photos people…byeeeee….
